Key terms & definitions

Pick-10
Black Ops II's create-a-class system, giving each loadout exactly ten allocation points to spend across primary, secondary, attachments, perks and equipment. Unused slots can be left empty.
Scorestreak
A reward earned by building up in-match score from kills, assists, captures and objective play in a single life. Scorestreaks replaced killstreaks, and progress resets when you die.
Wildcard
A Pick-10 item that costs one allocation point and unlocks an extra loadout option — such as a second primary via Overkill, or a second perk in a tier via Greed.
Pack-a-Punch
A Zombies machine that upgrades a weapon for 5000 points, boosting its damage, magazine size and ammo reserves, and usually renaming the gun with an improved variant.
Wonder Weapon
A special, high-power Zombies weapon such as the Ray Gun, Blundergat or the elemental Staffs, typically pulled from the Mystery Box or assembled through a build.
Perk-a-Cola
A vending machine in Zombies that grants a permanent per-life buff in exchange for points — for example Juggernog for extra health or Speed Cola for faster reloads.
TranZit
The large Green Run Zombies mode in Black Ops II that links several fog-shrouded areas together via a bus route, marking the debut of buildable equipment.
Grief
A Zombies mode that pits two teams of survivors against each other and the shared horde. You cannot directly shoot rivals, so you sabotage and out-survive them instead.
Strike Force
Optional real-time-strategy campaign missions where losses are permanent. Their outcomes feed into the story's branching path and help determine which ending you reach.
Overkill
A wildcard that lets you carry two primary weapons by equipping a primary in the secondary slot, at the cost of the allocation points both guns require.
Greed
A set of wildcards (Perk 1/2/3 Greed) that let you equip a second perk from the same tier, so you can double up within one perk category.
Prestige
An optional reset of your multiplayer rank back to level one after reaching the cap, trading your unlocks for a prestige level, tokens and a cosmetic emblem.
Create-a-Class
The loadout editor where players build custom classes. In Black Ops II it runs on the Pick-10 point system rather than fixed weapon and perk slots.
Mystery Box
A Zombies box that dispenses a random weapon for 950 points, including wonder weapons. After several uses it can vanish and relocate to another spot on the map.
Easter Egg
A hidden secret or multi-step quest — most famously in Zombies — that can reward achievements, musical tracks or story progression when players complete every step.
Buildable
A Zombies item assembled from parts scattered around the map, such as the Turbine, the Turret or Origins’ elemental Staffs, placed at a crafting bench.
Juggernog
A Perk-a-Cola that roughly doubles the player’s health, letting you absorb more hits before going down. It is widely considered the most essential Zombies perk.
Quickscope
A sniping technique of aiming down sight and firing the instant the scope settles, using a sniper rifle’s one-shot power for very fast kills at range.
Hardpoint
An objective multiplayer mode where teams fight to hold a rotating capture zone. Occupying the active zone steadily earns points until the score limit is reached.
Nuketown
A small, symmetrical fan-favorite map. Black Ops II features Nuketown 2025, a pre-order bonus re-imagining set at a mock nuclear test town.
