Black Ops 2 Scorestreaks
Black Ops 2 scorestreaks replaced the old killstreak system with score-based rewards: you earn progress from every team-positive action — kills, assists, captures, defends and bomb plants — not just eliminations. This page lists all 22 Black Ops 2 scorestreaks with their exact score cost, from the 425-point UAV up to the 1900-point Swarm.
How the scorestreak system works
In Black Ops 2, dying resets your progress toward the next scorestreak to zero, but any scorestreak you have already earned stays available after you respawn and carries between rounds. You can equip up to three scorestreaks per class, and they are selected separately from the Pick-10 loadout — they do not cost allocation points.
The Tier 1 perk Hardline increases the score you earn toward scorestreaks by 20%, effectively lowering the cost of every reward. Unlike Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 2 has no separate Support class: every scorestreak draws from one shared score pool that resets on death, which is what folds objective play into the same system.

| 22 | Swarm | 1900 | Calls in a large swarm of Hunter Killer drones that search-and-destroy enemies across the entire map. |
Cheaper Black Ops 2 scorestreaks like the UAV, Hunter Killer Drone and Care Package reward consistent play and are easy to chain; the high-end Swarm, VTOL Warship and K9 Unit demand a strong life but can swing a match. A balanced class usually pairs one cheap information streak with one mid-cost lethal option, leaving your third slot for a game-ending reward.
