Call of Duty: Black Ops II was developed by Treyarch and published by Activision, launching on November 13, 2012 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. A Wii U version followed on November 18, 2012 — the first Call of Duty game on Nintendo's console. Years later, on April 11, 2017, Black Ops II joined the Xbox One backward-compatibility program, and it is now playable on Xbox Series X|S as well. Microsoft Xbox One (backward compatibility) April 11, 2017 Added to the Xbox One backward-compatibility program on April 11, 2017 (announced by Xbox head Phil Spencer); playable via the original Xbox 360 disc or digital purchase. Later also Xbox Series X|S compatible.
