Takeoff
Takeoff is a Call of Duty: Black Ops II multiplayer map, part of the Apocalypse downloadable map pack, released on August 27, 2013 (Xbox 360); September 26, 2013 (PS3/PC). It is set in Remote offshore rocket launch site, Pacific Ocean. A remote Pacific Ocean launch site combining tight corners with open spaces, reimagining Black Ops' Stadium (also playable in Zombies).
How Takeoff plays
On the ground, Takeoff is defined by reimagining of stadium (first strike), offshore rocket-launch platform, mix of close-quarters and open combat and doubles as a zombies map. Those are the features to read first — they decide where fights open up, which angles are safe to hold, and how you rotate between objectives. The close, broken-up terrain favours mobile weapons — submachine guns and shotguns — and perks like Lightweight and Dexterity that keep you quick through its lanes.
Hazards & features to learn:
- Reimagining of Stadium (First Strike)
- Offshore rocket-launch platform
- Mix of close-quarters and open combat
- Doubles as a Zombies map
Build a class for it with the Pick-10 system, and browse the full weapon list to match a gun to its ranges.
