Detour
Detour is a Call of Duty: Black Ops II multiplayer map, part of the Vengeance downloadable map pack, released on July 2, 2013 (Xbox 360); August 1, 2013 (PS3/PC). It is set in Destroyed suspension bridge. All-out conflict on a two-tier destroyed suspension bridge.
How Detour plays
On the ground, Detour is defined by two combat layers: upper deck for long/medium range, lower deck for close range and destroyed / collapsed bridge sections. Those are the features to read first — they decide where fights open up, which angles are safe to hold, and how you rotate between objectives. The close, broken-up terrain favours mobile weapons — submachine guns and shotguns — and perks like Lightweight and Dexterity that keep you quick through its lanes.
Hazards & features to learn:
- Two combat layers: upper deck for long/medium range, lower deck for close range
- Destroyed / collapsed bridge sections
Build a class for it with the Pick-10 system, and browse the full weapon list to match a gun to its ranges.
