Magma
Magma is a Call of Duty: Black Ops II multiplayer map, part of the Uprising downloadable map pack, released on April 16, 2013 (Xbox 360); May 16, 2013 (PS3/PC). It is set in City at the foot of an erupting volcano, Japan. A destroyed Japanese city being overrun by lava flows at the foot of an erupting volcano.
How Magma plays
On the ground, Magma is defined by lava / magma flow hazards, erupting volcano and maze of destroyed streets. Those are the features to read first — they decide where fights open up, which angles are safe to hold, and how you rotate between objectives. The close, broken-up terrain favours mobile weapons — submachine guns and shotguns — and perks like Lightweight and Dexterity that keep you quick through its lanes.
Hazards & features to learn:
- Lava / magma flow hazards
- Erupting volcano
- Maze of destroyed streets
Build a class for it with the Pick-10 system, and browse the full weapon list to match a gun to its ranges.
